Annual Town Reports

Each year before the Annual Town Meeting an Annual Report of the previous calendar year is compiled by the Town Administration Office. View digital copies of recent Annual Reports. Accounting Department

The Town Accountant maintains fiscal records and internal controls for all departments of the Town and School.

Animal Control Officer

Belmont Animal Care and Control promotes public safety and the humane treatment of all domestic animals and wildlife, while encouraging responsible pet ownership.

Assessor's Office

The Assessors' Office is responsible for the administration of all laws and regulations regarding property tax assessment.

Emergency Management

The Belmont Emergency Management Agency (BEMA) coordinates emergency services with State, Local, and Federal Agencies during a state of emergency or alert.

Facilities

The Facilities Department maintains over one million square feet of buildings and grounds under the control of the Select Board and the School Committee.

Fire Department

The mission of the Belmont Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of our community from fires, natural disasters, accidents, hazardous materials, incidents, and other causes.

Health Department

The Department provides an array of services under the general heading of disease prevention and health promotion.

Human Resources

The Town's Human Resources Department manages all Town personnel-related matters, facilitates all Town recruitments (excluding those of the Belmont Public School System) and handles the coordination and administration of benefits to all eligible active and retired Town and School employees.

Recreation

The Recreation Department enhances the quality of life for Belmont residents by offering a full range of safe, high-quality recreational programs, activities, and events.

Town Administration

The Town Administrator serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town.

Town Clerk

The Town Clerk acts as the Town's chief election official, recording officer, registrar of vital records and statistics, public records access officer, and licensing officer.

Treasurer & Tax Collector

The Town Treasurer/Collector's office is responsible for collecting all taxes and committed bills issued by the Town.

Veterans Services Officer

The mission of the Department of Veterans' Services is to advocate on behalf of all Veterans, and to provide quality service and benefits to those Veterans and their dependents in need of emergency financial and/or medical assistance.
